37 ft. Motor Sailer ‘Rain Bear’

37 ft. Motor Sailer ‘Rain Bear’

The 37 ft. Motor sailer Rain Bear was built to plan #108 over a period of many years by very talented builders. It is one of the most spectacular pieces of workmanship I have seen, a true masterpiece of the boat builder's art. Rugged construction, combined with durable exterior finishes and outstanding interior finish work, make this a very special boat.

It was designed with Pacific Northwest cruising in mind, and in particular the 1000-mile run from the Strait of Georgia through central and northern British Columbia and on up the panhandle of southeast Alaska. These are some of the most spectacular and challenging cruising grounds to be found anywhere. They demand an all-weather boat with long range capability under power, and the ability to make use of favourable winds on the outer coast especially.  This boat will place that, and much more, at the disposal of a new owner.

Vessel is in Sidney, B.C. Canada.
